Just got a copy off EBay from HK. Looks like a nice kit. I am very glad they finally released it and I hope it will be a good seller. Possibilities are really endless with this one. |

I'll take 12 versions! This tank can be found all over the world, I think the possibilities are really endless. Jacques, I've become a sad collector of these things . Last 2 years, I haven't been able to finish a single model, I think (maybe a couple...). But I did start looking at the kit and it looks pretty sweet, at least as far as the design. I think it beats the KV kits with the metal barrel and etched parts. The price is also double, but I am OK with that. I don't know if it will beat the Tamiya T-55, but after all this is not a T-55! I will do my "bestest" to glue one together and post it at least unpainted here. Also can't wait to see if my ModelPoint Drakon IT-1 conversion fits on this one. It has been waiting for a hull for soooo long. DK |

I'm really interested in the very late version (brow armor, laser range finder, smoke dischargers and slat armor on side / back of turret). This is the type that was used late in Afghanistan and later on in Chechnya. Any chance that Trump will release this version?

Why not go with the Masterclub tracks????? Something looks amiss with the lightguard and lights - shouldn't they be recessed a bit further back? Chris |

What a beauty. It's been worth the wait. I've got mine on pre-order with Great Models so Iguess I'll get mine in a couple of weeks. Maybe it will come in with my pre-order Graf Spee. |

Yeah Chris, I just ordered a set of MasterClub tracks - have no idea if they fit better than Friuls. I do know that MK fit very well around Tamiya T-55 sprockets. We'll see. Oh and the lights are in the wrong place. The wire guard is from Tamiya T-55 kit and I will adjust it when all is fixed in place. BTW the Trumpeter wire cage is sort of useless.
Jeff, I was talking about the T-55 Tamiya sprockets. Friuls do not fit well around them, at least in my attempt. Its close, but the T-55 sprocket is too small for the tracks. Trumpy T-62 and Tamiya T-55 sprockets seem identical. |

Dimitry, Thanks for the heads up on the light guard. I figured you used the tamiya one. I am curious if the MC tracks will fit the sprokets without modification. I am just finishing up a ZTZ 99A from Hobby Boss and I must say I am really impressed with the molding AND fit of the model - I wish they'd crank out some T72/90s and T80s to round out my collection. I guess all those old Trumpeter T54/55s paid off for them. I have an old Navigator T62 detail set in my stash and Im wondering if I can use it on the Trumpeter T62. Fingers crossed...... Chris |

Nice build up! As mentioned over at ML, here's the thread on the orientation of the lip around the loader's hatch. I'm not clear if it should be oriented straight forward, or towards the left as in the kit. http://www.network54.com/Forum/47209/message/1253990120/Trumpeter+T-62+model+1962+questionGaoyue, Would you have any pics to clear this up? Edited: Here's a walkaround that seems to confirm the details as in the kit: http://scalemodels.ru/modules/photo/viewcat.php?cid=211&orderby=date%20ASC&show=12&min=12 |

Thanks for posting your WIP Dmitry. Can't wait to get my own T-62.
Is the mix of new (front) and old (the two rear) fender fuel tanks OK for a T-62? With new I mean two dented corners as opposed to one. I assumed that a vehicle had either type.

Nice work Dimitry ! I've just picked up the same kit on E-bay from South Korea, and it's arrived in the mail. Did you order the the OMSh Type MasterClub tracks (MC135048CL) ? These are the early ones I beieve... I'll order those also - I'll be interested in seeing how they fit on your T-62. Cheers Paul |
