For my latest dio, we've used a cardboard background of some clouds, but would love to get some big poster-type shots of forests, hills, etc, but I'm sure having a heck of a time finding any of this stuff, anyone have an idea of where I could be looking? Types of stores?
thanks

You could try a poster shop. I do't know if you have this kind of shop in Canada, but over here we have shops that sell framed and unframed prints, usually at the cheaper end of the market rather than 'art' prints. You can usually find landscape type posters there.

You can take any picture you find online and load it on a disk then take it to a good printshop and they will format it and blow it up and print it out on any size paper you want. Even panoramic etc...

Kelly,

Try Scenic Express. They sell all kinds of stuff for the model railroad guys. They offer a couple "background" sheets.

Check some rail road on line shops also.

I know a lot of people photoshop and combine a photo of a model with a small version of a background. Thats the way I did the flying Cylon from Ian Hill in the OD section.

Hot links are pretty easy
Use the oval buttons at the top of the posts to get the basic tag in a post. Then just replace the 'place url here' with your copied url
