Operational Overview In the months leading up to World War III, many governments embarked on crash and emergency programs to prepare themselves for war. On one hand, there was a lot of experimenting with directed energy platforms and conversion of older chassis to fill holes in orders of battle.
There was also a concern in dealing with fortifications and urban areas, so there was concentration on "siege" style weapons. Many militaries also believed "bigger is better" and built truly huge pieces of equipment.
And so "Secrets" and "Monsters" was born. The Rules and Regs Any scale is accepted. Gaming pieces, train pieces, and scale models accepted.
Individual pieces and dioramas accpeted; no single figures, they must be in a diorama.
Subjects can fall under three groups:
1. One off's. This will allow for someone adding a turret to a Subaru and other such ideas.
2. Secret weapons. This should be a bit more involved and have a good story behind it. This is probably going to promote things that are more sci-fi as they would be cutting edge.
3. Monsters. Think Siege weapons or large defensive weapons. This subject would also include the largest of subjects in general catagories, like the B2 Bomber and Tu-160 Blackjack, and Iowa Class battleships and Aircraft carriers. This also includes things like armored trains, large caliber ground weapons (Like the German WWII Leopold and more modern russian 240mm self propelled mortar..etc.) Contest Element Everyone who completes at least one entry for this campaign will recieve a ribbon and bragging rights. |
