Introduction
Armor35 has been diversifying their catalogue of 1/35 military and railroad models with their series
Fantasy Girls. These martial and Sci-Fi themed femmes are cast in 1/35 and 1/16.
Merry Girl Soldier is available in both 1/35 (item
35907) and 1/16 (item
16007) and while this review is the smaller scale, it is still big in detail and presence.
This figure was sculpted by Svetlana Rykunova, converted into 3D masters, then cast in resin.
Armor35 currently catalogues 22 1/35 and 21 1/16
Fantasy Girls.

Armor35's other figure kits I have examined,
Merry Girl Soldier is packed in
Armor35’s traditional small end-opening cardboard box with a photo of the product as the box art. A zip lock baggie contains the gray resin parts.
Armor35's casting is excellent, crisp with no air pocks, sink marks, visible mold seams, and inconsequential flash. The flash is so wispy as to brush away.
Armor35 uses resin that I find to be neither brittle nor soft.
This model features finely scaled parts and detail. Some structure is very thin - the stock of the gun was broken in the bag.
Merry Girl Soldier consists of four (4) parts:
Left arm
Right arm
Rest of the body
Submachine gun
The parts are held to pour blocks with very fine attachments. I easily detached the arms and gun just by bending them off their attachment rods. Cleanup of the pieces should be quick and painless owing to the high quality casting.
Armor35 engineered this figure with precise peg-and-slot joints for the arms. They fit without visible seams. The hands fit around the submachine gun. The right hand is curled into a fist to hold the gun grip and needs to be opened up a bit to make it fit.
Detail
Exceptional is the word that comes to mind when I look over this figure. A picture is worth a 1,000 words so I took lots of photos for you to scrutinize. What I see is crisply defined facial, hair, and hand detail. Look at those teeth and lips! Her eyes are defined, too. Her poise looks natural and this model exudes perkiness.
The same impressive detail is obvious on the uniform (such as it is), covered helmet, boot soles, and personal weapon.
A modelers could get lost painting the super detail of this figure.
Conclusion
Merry Girl Soldier has a reason to be bubbly and buoyant as she is an amazing model.
Armor35 created her with expert sculpting and casting, resulting in amazing detail and fit. Some of that excellent casting is a curse in that the fine gun stock was broken in transit.
This model can stand alone as a fantasy cheesecake soldier subject or incorporated into a diorama centered around an "at ease" scene. Modelers should enjoy glee of this mirthful miniature. Recommended.
