The figure is packaged in a clear plastic clamshell container. The label inside the cover shows the assembled figure unpainted. The backside of the label has three smaller photos of the figure that can be useful when assembling the small parts.
All parts are secured in a plastic zip-lock bag.
parts
The figure is sculpted by Jeff Meckley ( aka Holycow) and is made up of 15 light-cream colored resin parts. Casting is clean and details are well defined. No serious cleaning is required, though a little sanding is required in right arm and between legs.
The torso and legs are molded as one piece. The figure wears Interceptor Body Armor over his chemical protective MOPP (Mission Oriented Protective Posture) gear and carries a gas mask case on his left thigh. Cloth folds, side pockets of the MOPP gear and IBA details are well defined.
The head is molded nicely with helmet chinstraps, sunglasses and a handkerchief masking the nose and mouth. As for the helmet, he wears a PASGT (Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops) helmet with protective goggles.
Arms and hands wearing tactical gloves are cast as separate parts.
Other parts are;
1 spare magazine pouch
2 canteens
1 butt pack
1 ALICE small arms ammunition case
1 ALICE field first aid dressing/unmounted magnetic compass case
The figure carries a M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) with a 200 round box magazine and bipod. The box magazine is molded on the M249 and the bipod comes as a separate part.
conclusion
Nicely detailed parts, good resin quality, ease of clean and assembly and different painting options for the MOPP gear ( Woodland or 3 DCU ) make this kit Highly Recommended.
Thanks to Jeff Meckley for providing the kit.
