Hi,
This is Andrea Miniatures Virtual Fighter (Neo from the Matrix films) in 54mm. Painted with a mix of acrylic and oils.
This is my second figure (first was a 120mm Spartan) and my first 54mm figure.
Comments, suggestions and tips welcome.
I am really starting to enjoy painting figures, might have to get myself a few more.
Andy

Andy nice work with the figure it looks good for your second one,not an easy choice either for a beginner with all that black. If you want the folds to stand out more you could add a bit of flesh to the black in the highlight areas.

Hope to see more of your figures.

That's the call of the darkside you hear, Andy

Nice work, especially since it's only your second figure. You'll want to watch those seams and casting lines though (there appears to be one in the left upper arm), as well as the bleeding of colours - if you look at the wrists you'll see a bit of flesh coloured paint creeping up the shirt cuff.

All in all though, as I said, nice work my friend - does this mean a few more of us need to do aircraft in return You in for the KSC?

Nice job for your first one.
The figure is good, it would really 'pop' if you put it on a small base. It doesn't have to be really fancy, just something to 'finish' it.

I see more figures in your future.

Very well done Andy!
As mentioned already by Steve you didn't pick an easy figure. Black and white are always difficult colors to look good. But you did it pretty well. For the next figure try to make a bit more contrast and work more on the blending.
Hope to see more figures from your hands.

Marcel.

Sorry for the late reply guys, but I lost my Internet connection (no thanks to BT), but managed to keep online to some degree with my phone.
Thanks for all your tips guys.
Great advice Steve about adding flesh to the black, I will try that on my next project.
Rudi, I thought I got that seam , the photo has highlighted even more then it shows. I shall try harder next time.
The figure will go on a base, err once I get one that is .
Looking forward to building the Jack Sparrow bust and the Andrea Miniatures Caped Crusader that the Beloved bought me for Valentines day now.
