Update.....

after a few sessions on the shirt i sorted out the sling for the rifle which i've done using a different base colour to imply it may not have been issued with the webbing ( and to add some variety )

have sorted the hair and done the stubble ( conte pastels ground down an in water, it lets you make repairs )

i have now glued the body, arm, head and helmet together....

i have replaced the twisted and bendy bayonet blade with a scratched item ( and while i was at it replaced the barrel and the bit of metal that forms the cross piece, it looks a bit tighter )

A. bit of plastic card cut to size

B. gutters on both sides, steel rule and an s shaped file, liguid poly and some fine emmery paper

C. black permanent marker so i can see what i've removed and keep it all balanced

D. the thing assembled

E. in place ( note the blade is low by about 1/4 of a mm .... GRRRRR )

Man, this is amazing... most people sweat like pigs in the desert, a fact often overlooked by modelers. The sweat stains look great, well done. And the beard growth is wonderful.

It is great to see how confident you are in painting the little details; those details bring your figures to the next level of perfection. I love seeing your work, it really is amazing!

Hi Mark,
Just had this fella delivered and have broken him of the box.
I hope to do him justice.
The only change I'm going to make is put the 2 NZ Divison tab on the upper arm.
I may borrow the way you did the helmet,(if you don't mind) but I'll be using enamels and oils rather than acrylics

Will post pictures.
