Although campaigns guidelines are available HERE I’d like to add few words concerning campaigns here on Historicus Forma.

Campaign leader should start new thread in Campaigns section of Forum with basic rules of suggested campaign and suggested start/end dates mentioned in this thread.
At least 5 people (not 10 as mentioned in guidelines and as is required i.e. for Armorama) should reply to the thread declaring their support to this idea.
As soon as this condition is fulfilled campaign leader is free to submit a new campaign.

Ribbons should be 50x20 .gif files (it is important to have .gif written with small letters - .GIF (with capital letters) will not be visible).
Campaign banners should be 468x60 (file type is not specified).
If you need help with designing ribbon or banner – please contact me I’ll be happy to help.

Since Campaign idea is a group-build idea I strongly suggest to keep the main thread as a place where participants may share their progress and comment each others’ builds.
As soon as campaign is approved I will add yellow “FORMING” label to main thread. It will be changed to “CAMPAIGN” label as soon as campaign starts. I will also make it a “sticky” so it won’t get lost among other threads.
I also strongly suggest adding one rule to each campaign that every participant should post the final picture in main thread. It will make it much easier for campaign leader during awards adding (participants are still free to have separate threads in Campaigns or any other section of forum depending on their choice).

UPDATE 19.05.2010
NEW CAMPAIGN GALLERY RULES check new update below
Some of you may have noticed that we are dealing with gallery problems for some time now.
Due to this fact I have to inform you all that from this moment campaign galleries will not be available for new campaigns.
I have to ask you to save your pictures in your private outside galleries (like photobucket, flickr etc.) and change rules by adding condition that picture of finished figure/s must be posted in campaign’s main thread on forum.
I’ll do my best to compensate this inconvenience to you by making Summary Features showing your finished work for every campaign. This will also keep the pictures here on HF so they won’t be lost when participants decide to delete the pictures from their private galleries.
Sorry for this inconvenience but the gallery slows us down a lot and there is a chance that it will be replaced sometime this year – campaign galleries will be back on track then.

Thank you for understanding.
end of update

UPDATE 11.01.2012
Due to problems with our gallery server I created account on Photobucket for us to use.
Go to http://Photobucket.com and sign in using:
username: hfcampaigns
password: password
There are catalogues for our running campaings - feel free to use them.

end of update

Here is a callendar that may help in planning campaign dates:

If you have any question or comment concerning campaigns post them here or let me know!

Marcin, Engin, Ron,
Thank you for warm welcome! I'll do my best to keep my part running without any disturbance.

Ron, I'm far away from the top I'm just upper-middle clas: salary is low and the working hours are horrible... man... I should quit immediately All I got is this fancy star next to my name .

OK, seriously: I'm really happy to be here as campaign forum host and campaigns administrator: I took so much from this site (and my mother Armorama ) that it is highest time to do something to repay my debts.

See you around! I’m prepering some campaing suggestions so I hope we’ll see each other with our builds soon.

Andrzej

I've opened new gallery for our campaigns on Photobucket (KitMaker Gallery works very very slow in admin mode) - information on how to sing in is in the first post.
Feel free to use this account - it's not perfect but a little faster than our gallery and will take some weight off KitMaker Gallery's shoulders.

Hi Andrezj,

Is the "Special Forces" Campaign Historica Forma? It just says, "Kitmaker University."

How about:

- Body Armor: Any figure wearing body armor, be it a knight, Samurai, SWAT, soldier, etc. How about Sci-fi?

- Civilians: Any scale as long as in civilian clothes. Include Sci-fi because there are some Sci-fi figures in civilian clothes.

- Officers and bosses: Any scale as long as looks like an officer, in officer uniform, or has officer function...holds a radio, binoculars, clipboard, pointing, etc. Include Sci-fi.

- Support Role: Any scale as long as figure is in a supporting role, be it logistics, rocket launcher, mortar, cargo, drivers, engineers, biologists, MPs, police, firefighters, father tutoring daughter, teacher, etc. No riflemen or Frontline soldiers allowed. Include Sci-fi.

- Construction and Repair: Any scale as long as figure is in repair attire or has repair tools or is performing a repair function. Include Sci-fi.

I think the above are general enough to open the campaigns up to male and female figures, Pit Crew, Emergency Vehicles, Astronauts, Fantasy, Sci-fi, military and NON-military figures, etc. I know some modelers have a wide range of figures to choose from to fulfill these campaign topics.

Peter, thank you very much for your suggestions!
If you don't have anything against it I'd like to turn your propositions into a forum topics and see what the reaction is.
