Goin' thru my files of painting 'instructions', hints and tips and notices "GS Paints" the topic in the forum at the time (ca. 1999 - 2002) was painting metallics...I've got quite a few "armored' figure to paint and am always looking for new techniques and media...Anyone know what they're referring to and if the stuff is still available, and if so, where it can be found??? Nevermind - I figgured it out....Gunze Sangyo...I've gotta check my hobby shop in West Palm - they carry Tamiya stuff and at one time did carry Gunze Sangyo -I'm lookin' to use it on large scale busts but haven't been really happy with metallics stuff I've tried in the past.....Some of my fellow figure painters swear by Printers Inks...

I used Gunze serveral times to paint metalics parts and they are fine to work with. Sometimes I also us GW metal paints.

Thanx, Marcel. What's GW??? I'm gonna try Tamiya metallics for the first tiome as well as Vallejo Acrylics...I do mostly all of my figure painting in Artist OIls, but see the need for quickly (relatively) drying Acrylics in painting heraldic designs....Haven't picked up a brush since around '85, but had some of the BEST tutors in the hobby to learn from: Andre Koribanics, Keith Kowalski and the late Robert (Bob) C, Knee, Jr,,,I'm stickin' with large scale busts to start then go on to a number of unfinished 100mm and 120mm figures....problem is, there is so much GOOD STUFF out there it's hard NOT to purchase new stuff...I LIKE the Young B Somng busts aws well as some of the stuff by Carl Ried.

I met you on the finescale forum about Ray Lamb's Hinchliffe large scale figures like Taisho RLO/01 and others, like your mounted version, but I couldn't email or reply your details.
