This is the next figure on my work bench. It's a 75mm Female Fantasy Crusader which will be one of the next releases from Reedees Miniatures.
I'm going to paint the box-art for this figure. It's my first fantasy piece. This gives me also the opportunity to tryout some different techniques and color combinations which would not be suitable for historical figures. I started as usual with the face and used a different mixture for the skin color this time. Most of the blending work on the face is done. Still some corrections to do. I also gave her some blue eyes and reds lips. The next steps will be painting the hair and the upper torso.The photo of the sculpture is taken from Reedees Miniatures.

Last week I was tied up with work and the festivity of 'Sint Nicolaas' but I managed to get some work done.
The face and hair are almost finished. I did some corrections but still some remain. The first highlights and shadows on the surcoat are applied and the next step will be the blending work.

Hier another update. I added some more highlights to the hair. Did some corrections on the face and started with the outline of the dragon on the surcoat. Now everything have to be corrected and blended.

No, I didn't use a stencil. It's painted freehand.
I always use a bigger picture of the design as a reference next to it during painting.

Here an small update. I did some corrections to the dragon on the surcoat and toning to the face. And more shadows and highlights on the surcoat.

Great final my friend. You did a great job on painting the heraldy. I liked the elg guards of this figure very much.IMHO, the only problem is the banner she carries. I think the folds and position could be better for this flag.
