Randy i really like the horse painting and the warrior yellow face, making him very impressive for opponents.

Thank you Nico.

Here are some in-progress photos.

I am pretty close to being done. I need to dull-coat the figure and horse and do some pastel work. Then I can attach everything to the base and place the one rein in the figures hand and that should be it.

I am debating between two titles for my entry. I like "The Collector" and "Finders Keepers". I figure he is a collector as he already has a cavalry jacket, cartridge belt and rifle. Then again Finders Keepers is just kind of fun.

Thanks,
Randy

Randy, my son loved your figure and the horse so much that he requested some figures for himself (Rafal is 4yo in two months).
This way he became unofficial member of this campaign
Right now we're painting buffolo hunt scene - we already have one hunter on the horse done and now we're painting buffolos. Great thing is that he is painting these figures all by himself and I only have to guide him. He gets a bit nervous when I ask him to correct something but I'm really proud of him and his progress. As soon as we have whole vignette done I'll post some pictures here.

That is awesome Andrzej. I am glad that my project sparked some interest in him. Thank you for letting me know.

I agree whole heartedly. I always enjoy it when the youngsters get interested in our hobby. When my son was a little guy he liked watching me work on stuff and ended up taking most, if not all, of my old figure parts and pieces and making up his own figures and painting them and everything. He took a few kits from my stash and built them as well. He even started building up his own stash of kits!!

Thanks again everyone.

Well I am going to call my project finished.

I dullcoated everything this morning and then glued everything in place. I ended up adding a cavalry pistol holster to his belt but that is the only addition I made. I am still not very good when it comes to figure painting but I have to admit that I like how this project turned out.

Thank you for the campaign Aaron, I enjoyed taking part.

Great vignette Randy!
Scout turned out great. I Really like how you've painted the face without loosing facial features.

Thank you Andrzej, I appreciate your kind comments. I am sure that I could have done more with my entry but I was afraid of messing up what I had so I left it as is. The stripes on the jacket sleeves are not correct in size but I did the best I could. I guess with them being oversized they show up a lot better. Anyway I was happy with the end result of my vignette. I had fun with the scratch-building portion and I like the way his war paint looks. And for my first horse I like how it looks as well.....except for the visible seam line on the blanket that you can see from the overhead picture.

Thank you again.

Hi Guys!

Here small contribution to this campaign made by my son Rafal - Nexos' Buffolo Hunt in 1/72(just to be clear - he painted the figures by himself under my guidance, same thing concerns the vignette - I just cut the plate and applied the plaster).

Well, Im inflated with pride

Andrzej, please let Rafal know that I think his project turned out very nice. I am glad that he is taking an interest in our hobby.

The look on his face tells it all!!

Thank you for sharing.

Randy, Aaron, thank you for kind words! Rafal was happy to paint this small project, he learned about drybrushing and washes (two simple ways to bring up some details without precision - 4yo kid is not able to paint small details or shades so I decided to show him simpler techniques).
The best thing is that he wants more
