A WIP Build log shouldn't take long: not too many pieces to put together. I'll be along for the painting process though

I'll be interested to read your opinion in the review though, as I've recently bought most of the "at rest" range too.

Really nice casting... Stalingrad figures look great and I'm glad I'm finally seeing some of them in the works. Will be keeping track of this topic.

actully I have them both together already, just havent shot any pictures yet.

The POW figure required nothing more than putting on the head. The other was a bit more complex, but fit together perfectly. Even came with a little rock to sit on (in resin).

I hopefully will have some pictures very very soon!

all right....painting started.
First a undercoat of Model Master flesh enamel (I think this is the "warm tint" color)

after trying acrylics to do faces, ive decided to return to oils... So here is phase one of the oil painting. I took the photos right after so the paint is still a bit glossy under the light. After this drys for a few days ill go back and pick out some more detail around eyes and such...maybe add some more shadow/ highlight...we will see. Looking at these with the digital camera they really dont look all that good...maybe i need to get an optivisor!

comments are welcome!

Wow I am following this.

These are great figures. I've been eyeing this set from a distance deciding whether I should get them. The pics look very nice with lots of crisp details. So far, the painting looks good.

Good luck!
