I think we have some very talented people in this section of the Kit Maker Network, but we don't have many campaigns. I have some ideas for military stuff but I'll post them a little later. As I am not working right now I have to do campaigns for which I have stuff generally in my stash. Luckily I have a few items in said stash.

Looking over the forum topics it looks like there has been a couple of really cool military ones, but not much from the "other genres." so...Any interest in Elves?

There are many companies now making fantasy and sci-fi Elves, from Reaper, Games Workshop even Andrea has some. Easy to come by and as cheap as 3.00.

Base rules. Flexible

Any model from any company just so long as its an Elf.
Any scale 28mm to 1:16
Diorama, multi figures allowed
Duration 6 months. Start maybe November to April
Post a picture to the main thread to get your prize (ribbon)
and have fun.

Aaron, maybe you should extend the subject of campaign to all fantasy creatures and characters? Elves, interesting as they are, create quite narrow area of figure painting.

Aaron,

Like Andrzej, I would feel that "elves" is too narrow. I'd certainly be on for a fantasy thing if it were more general. What about "Elves preferred..."

BTW, if you would extend the range of campaign to other fantasy creatures I'd be interested... I have a witcher, succubus, some goblins and a beastmen on stock so I wouldn't even make speciall purchases for this campaign

I have no objection to making it Fantasy 101. I thought originally that as there are so many Elvish mini's available that there would be something we had and that it would allow doing other campaigns on Orcs, knights, thieves, etc. However as maybe we don't have a large enough fantasy base to pull that off then doing just standard fantasy is fine with me. Any active campaign has to be a good thing for the section and if we just end up running several fantasy ones over 2012 with any entry being legit as long as its fantasy then i am cool with that.

yes but you'll get a lot more if you start a new thread with fantasy figure in the title, those not interested in Elves won't open this thread.

I need an excuse to do that fantastic Dragon and Witch they have over at Forgeworld.

I'm in. Have a set of Mithril Miniatures figures laying around for years and a domed base just waiting for an excuse to be dragged out and done or maybe the Pro-modeler Darco dragon from Dragon Heart. Will have to order one figure of Boromir for the set to be complete but should not be any problem. Need a time frame as I have to order from Scotland I believe This should be a good campaign and you might try the Historicus site for the figure guys too.

It's Aaron's campaign so it is up to him to decide but since we're figure focused site I do believe that the entry should be at least humanoidal (or part of the entry should be humanoidal).
What do you think?

Time frame is 6 months. I did one dragon long ago and painting every scale and shading every scale took me a solid year. Could you finish such a beast in the time frame?

if there is enough interest in fantasy small 28mm I don't mind doing a couple of smaller 3 months campaigns for them. I finish a 28mm in a month so 3 months should be more than enough for the little guys and I have a bunch of them in my stash. Food for thought for later on.

I have looked at a couple of dragons and had brief moments of "Three tone shading...how awesome would that be." Then I come to my senses.
