Glad that you like it!
For the metallic parts I just took advantage of base metal. I cleaned and burnished the armour and all other parts as you see below. This picture is taken before painting. You can see the primer applied to the "fabric" and the metal ready..

Basically what I did is to weather the armour. I applied an black oil wash and when it was dry, I drybrushed Tamiya Smoke X19. The armour ornaments are painted with enamels copper and gold over black Vallejo paint.
