I know this has been ask many times before and I apologize..........
I am painting some early war german figures circa 1940. I am after a good starting color for the "stone grey" trousers. I am using vallejo colors.
After doing many searches on kit-maker, the only color I have seen suggested is # 987 medium grey, however this color appears very tan to me.
Could anyone help me out?

A quick search on http://www.paint4models.com/ shows Vallejo has a Stone Grey color #884. Would that be closer to what you are looking for?

Kevin,
Not sure if that is what I am looking for or not. I'm hesitant to trust the "name" of any given color.
Can Anybody body out there tell me if Vallejo 884 "Stone Grey" is suitable for early war German trousers?
