I wasn't thinking about this until recently. We went to Medieval Times a dinner and horse show, which has sword play, a falcon show, some jousting and so on. A lot of playing to the crowd. All good fun. After each event the Knights would toss a flower to girls in the crowd. My 6 year old girl didn't get one and was very sad and disappointed as anyone with 6 year old girls know they put a amazing amount of pressure on themselves. Towards the end of show each knight chooses a girl as his Tournament Queen and the Red Knight rode up and tipped his lance to my daughter which had the red ribbon tied to the end of it. She took it and was so happy I thought she was going to skip down the lance and hug him. We couldn't get any pics on the evening and so I wrote to them and asked if we could arrange something. They agreed and so I took my daughter back across town today, got her a medieval style dress and she got some pics with her hero.
She has of course asked me to do a mini for her of a knight in red. As I will be doing this anyway later in the year anyway I thought why not do it as a campaign if there is interest.
So..
Any Scale
Any Maker
Anything Medieval. Doesn't have to be 100% historical as long as it feels like it belongs. So Squires, peasants, serfs, maidens, ladies in waiting, long bowmen, kings, queens, foot soldiers and of course KNIGHTS!
Time 6 months
