Hi Rafael
Have to agree with Wayne ... the eyes are beautifil. Credit to the sculptor as well ... the amount of detail around the eyes is amazing. They add so much character to the figure/bust. The red coat looks quite orange in the images ... how is this in reality?

Lookin' good, bro....I'm happy to see this subject come up - I bought the Elite Miniatures 1/10th 93rd Highlander bust a few weeks ago - seems that Elite closed its doors in 2010 and the dealer (at a small show in West Palm Beach, FL) was closing out his line...got it for 30 dollars US...unlike your bust, mine has the bearskin attached to the head, but is otherwise a nicely sculpted figure. I plan on undercoating my figures in acrylics (Vallejo & Andrea) and doing the actual painting in oils. You're doing a fine job - I'm looking forward to seeing the completed bust...Good painting and keep those brushes wet!!!

Great job on the face. Very nice transitions; acrylics or oils?

Hi all. Thanks a lot for your kind comments. I really appreciate it!

I am painting the figure using acrylics (mainly Vallejo). The red color is made with brown-red as a base and using scarlet in the first lights, bright-orange in the last ones and finally flesh tones. Perhaps the pics seems to be more orange than the reality.

Regards,

Rafa

Mario, Magpie, Thanks a lot for your comments.
About the talent...this is reserved for another people (Jesus Gamarra, Pepe Gallardo, Latorre, José Hernandez,...). I am only an apprentice.

Mario, Wayne, thanks a lot for your kind comments. Finally I made some brown washes over the hat for getting mat finish. Also add darker color in the ear. I´ll try to put the final pic this evening.

thanks again!
