Tuck and roll Thanks for the compliment. Camo was a real bugger to do. Had to do it on small sessions to keep from going crazy! This was 200mm, I don't know how those guys do it in 1/35

Todd, Aaron, thanks for comments guys! Since Esme was representing the crone in Lancre coven (you know, from the Triple Goddes nature of maiden, mother, and crone) we all have met her in some point of our life .

Since I consider the figure finished I wanted to share some pics with you:

Hope you like her! This figure was sure fun to paint

See you around

Alrighty then, here is another one of my desperate attempts to start a campaign at the last minute and hope for the best. So far there's a really nice variety of figures, many of which I haven't seen before. I pulled this one from the stash on Saturday night, Bronco's 1/35 WWII Allied Female Soldiers:

Parts still on the sprues:

They were packed in an interesting way, with two stacks of two sprues. The sprues actually have locating pins so that you can stick them together. Hadn't seen that before:

And after one night's work:

And following tonight's short building session the four figures are done. Easy build, parts are mostly flash-free and fit together well. The only challenge was to get the legs to line up right. The mating surfaces allow for lots of wiggle room.

Close Up:

The figs still need to be washed in soap and water and then painting will commence. I'll probably just focus on one figure in order to get it finished by the deadline. More to follow...

Mark, I've added another two weeks. Take your time and paint as fast as you like.
Speedpainting is fun and sometimes gives great results but it's easy to damage the figure as well and you'd have to start again...

Small update. Figures were washed and primed over the past week, and the base colors blocked in. I've started using more Vallejo acrylics and am still experimenting with thinning them.

Not sure I like the RAF uniform, it's too blue. I need to find/mix a color with more of a grey tone to it. The US Navy uniform is still too light as well, but a couple more coats of the same midnight blue will fix that.

Apologies for the bad picture:

Worked on the eyes tonight, after I took the picture above, and they came out pretty well. Pictures of those to follow. I'll probably just finish one figure by the deadline, maybe two, knowing how slow I paint...
