And, as usual, I'll attempt a finish at the last minute.

Todd, I like your figure. Furthermore I'd like to meet the real-life counterpart!
Jesse, If they had actual troops like that, they might have won.
Andrzej, As always, nice work!

Unfortunately, I don't have any Hotties in my stash and I couldn't find the Hornet Figure of the Naval Auxiliary holding onto her hat and skirt. So, this is what I'll attempt to blitz in the next couple of days

and here's what I did yesterday

The one thing about the ESCI figures that ?I've always loved is their realism compared to Tamiya, Italeri, etc. of the time (I've had these figures since the mid '80's). Tamiya was usually rigid in their posing and undersized while Italeri was all over the place in sizing and most of their figures uniforms seemed to be made out of Spandex. Or maybe that's just me...
So today before work I cleaned up the seams, stuck them together, and puttied them up.

Base paint tonight!

Andrzej, After reading your comments I was glad I went to the bathroom before I jumped on the computer. I haven't laughed that hard in at least a Month!

Of course, you're right too. All I've been thinking about was they would make good zombies separate, but they would make an excellent drunk couple. Or the Wife dragging the Husband home after finding him in the bar, or street, which would explain the bandaged head.

Base coat and sepia wash on the fleshy parts. As soon as it dries I'll see what else gets done. Face painting next. Wish I hadn't waited so long. I would have extended their sleeves and her skirt.

And... we're done. This is as close as I'm getting with these 2. Not as good as y'alls but...

I might try to find another set of these so I can build the Drunk Couple.
Thanks for running this Andrzej,
Charlie

Here is my completed figure: Legend Production's 120mm resin "Trudy Terrific" Pin-Up figure. Quite a nice figure, I might add ! The China Cup is not included in the kit, but I needed something for her to sit on. The eyes are Archer 75mm "Realistic Eyeball" decals. Sorry for the poor-quality photos.

Hi Andrzej,
Thanks for waiting on me. Given the week I had at work, it's a miracle I still finished one figure. It took a 4-hour painting marathon tonight, but I got it done. The Dullcote is drying as we speak.

My camera went AWOL, so I had to use my iPod to take these horrible pictures. I will replace them with real pictures as soon as I get my camera back. Just wanted to show proof I did finish!

Great campaign everyone, and thanks to Andrzej for hosting!

As promised, some better pictures. The highlights (especially on the back), are more muted in reality, and look much better than they do in these pictures. Any comments/suggestions are appreciated. I still have a lot to learn about figure painting...
