I'm in the process of painting Knight Models' Boromir. A very nice figure except for a couple of glitches which I've already noted. Knight could have also defined the gold brocade trim on Boromir's shirt sleeves which would have made painting this detail easier; there was also some embossed detail on his shield boss which is missing - maybe I'll try to add it. My main point is Knight modeled Boromir with one leg up exposing the interior of his leather surcoat. They've also included very obvious pants under the surcoat. I did a Google image search for all my details and colors and couldn't find any evidence of him wearing pants. Would anyone have any info about the color of such? Otherwise I'll probably just paint them a dark color.

Long story short, I originally had in mind to make a dio of the Fellowship somewhere between Rivendell and Moria. I bought Gandalf and Boromir whose poses were compatible. And then the release of Aragorn who was also compatible with the first two. But then Knight released Legolas in an action pose and totally incompatible. So there goes that plan! Then during a clean-up in my workroom Boromir 'took a tumble'. Nothing too serious - just some chipped paint (don't you just hate it when a figure falls over and gets a squashed nose ). But this might give me incentive to strip the figure and repaint. Anyway, for the present, I've shelved any LOTR dio's and am doing some armor and ship modeling.
