A friend of mine gave me a bag of good figures from the company San Diego toy soldier company. They look pretty good when it come to the detail. My question is this, how does one prep these figures for paint? Does it matter if your painting in acrylics or oils when you prep them?

Basing on my experience with plastic figures: wash them with mild detergent and paint them with primer - I use Vallejo gray spray primer. You can use any paint you want on surface prepared this way.
