I want to build Meng's D9R, with slat armor. I have several photos, but can't make out where they attach to the dozer. Could any one please direct me to a site or recommend a book that covers this?

Book 7 from Desert Eagle is your best bet.

I got a look at the IDF M9 book today at the HobbyTown in Colorado Springs today. If I were to build that version I'd certainly get the book-it's well worth it in my opinion.
