Hello David

It is a matter of trial and error. I´m just now in the error fase, but I haven't lost hope.
I encourage you to investigate.

Cheers
Fer.

You mean sculpting commerically Fernando?
Well I plan to take this one to Euro next week, so see if anyone likes it there. It will be the first time I have been able to enter a scratchbuilt figure class...

I was talking about to make copies for commercial purposes or not.
For me, by the moment, to think in commercial way is too far, but I make molds to copy some of my figures because I want to keep the originals. Then I can paint the copies without fear, and you can make transformations or to take parts for other models,...but is a good exercise in any case.

What's is Euro? A meeting?

Like in the shows, I will not wish you luck to not jinx

Best wishes...Oups!!

Lol It was about a half hour drive for me but these days about a hour on the train, followed by a day when I can do nothing else!

Well it got a highly commended at euro which I was pleased with as most of the other entries were team efforts between a commercial sculptor and a specialist figure painter...

Hi david
Amazing sculpt think we could do with more of these types of figures.
As to Euro I did wonder what the 2 person figure entry's were all about, ohh well another nail in the coffin.
I hear on the grape vine next year there opening the doors to the games workshop crowd!

I don't think its a level playing field when you have 2 person entries- especially in the scratch built figures class ( separate sculptor and painter)- and infact the best of show was one of those, as were many of the gold winning figure entries. Still I can see how the organisers might go for that, because it seems not many modellers do both. Mike Blank is the honourable exception to the rule and Adrian Bay. A few others like Petri Kovanen, but they are some of the best known ones and few and far between..

I thought they had. They have got far more categories for fantasy and sci-fi this year. Not sure it's another nail though, I arrived later than I normally would(bloody trains!) and the com petition room was so packed I saw virtually nothing. What I did see was stunning as always.

The 2 person thing is stupid though what next teams? 1 to paint the clothes, 1 to paint the face and another for the eyes?

I can understand the war gaming side of it though, if you look at the amount of vendors who have stopped going over the last few years the organisers need something to boost the numbers of people attending!

Hi David,

Great job, really uncommon subject and incredible talent in sculpting. I like very much the AK47 as well. Really great !
