That boy with the knee socks - height of fashion back then! Imagine how they would marvel at what we wear today?

This photo is an inspiration for a diorama, if not a major scene for a layout. The brick walks on each side of the track; the old and new stations; gooseneck electric lamps. I wonder what all that trackside stuff is to the right, under the tie plant stack and to the old depot? I'd love to see it clearly - great lineside detail.

You're welcome Fred. Glad you like it. They keep on putting these pictures in the paper so I figure I will just keep sharing them. The buildings on the right and the tie plant, chimney and all, are gone now. If you Google Map Sheridan, WY and go to East 5th street you can see the area in the photo. 5th street crosses over the railroad tracks. The depot buildings are still there. Just a little northeast from there is where the tie plant was located. There is a roundhouse sitting in the area that I never knew was there. I will have to see if I can sneak in there and get some photos!! Kind of a junky area now but there is a lot of history in that area in regards to Sheridan's growth.
