Where oh where are the scratchbuilders ?.Rodger, I just joined and in reply to scratch building, back in 2008 I started to build a WACO UBF-2, had the parts laser cut started to build ,but lost interest until now. I have the cut files in Corel Draw (.cdr) files. If anyone might be interested in them let me know. I understand there are no plans available for this plane so I am working on them and when completed I will change format for large printing.

Considering that the KitMaker.net supposedly has 71,021 registered users then surely there should be some more activity on this part of the forum.
Has the hobby become so kit and AM oriented that folks no longer have/see the need/desire to scratchbuild (laziness ?).
Often I've read that folks don't have the time to scratchbuild , yet are happy to exclaim that they spent XX hours adding AM parts or painting etc. etc. - simple solution folks - it's called time management .
Also I know certain folks that do some scratchbuilding prefer to stay on their favourite section of the site, however in my personal opinion this both defeats the purpose of this sub-forum and lessens the exposure of the scratchbuilders skills/techniques which in turn condemns scratchbuilding to the fate of the dinosaurs .
So as a personal plea and for the sake of the hobby - please start to use this forum and show your skills and techniques here.
And lets get away from the "does anyone one have plans for ....."

I follow a few scratchbuilders. None of them are members here, they're on other boards, or have their own sites.

The two off the top of my head:

and

Charles Rowley is one who does Fire apparatus. (on ScaleFireHouse.com)
I've had the pleasure of doing some 3-D CAD work for him on one of his current projects.

I haven't been doing much scratchbuilding, as much as kitbashing lately.
