Remarkable show shiny the metallic paint is. Is this one of the glossy colors?

It looks like the demarcation line between the silver and black is very sharp. To me that indicates the paint masks very well.

Yes, the TCP-077 Silver paint is very glossy. Nearly all of the railroad paints are designed to dry glossy or semi-gloss (except the weathering colors TCP-171 to 176) so the the modeler can decal immediately after the paint dries - within 20-45 minutes after spraying.

Our masking paper is used by Darren for all his projects. The 8" x 10" sheets can be cut with a sharp hobby knife, placed on the model and smoothed using a plastic burnisher to achieve the fine demarcation line between colors.

After decaling the model is over coated with TCP-014, Satin to protect the decals and still maintain a great appearance.
