Help for painting blond hair
Posted: Tuesday, December 10, 2019 - 05:22 AM UTC
Extreme blondes (natural, of course) like some Icelanders, and other Nordics, have hair which is almost white. White with a touch of yellow, or sand, will work.

If you like my profile pic......
In acrylic, allowing to dry between layers
or speed up with a hair dryer.
Please don't use yellow.
First paint a light sandy base.
Wash a watery tan leather over to give some depth.
Wash again with VERY a dilute olive green....weird but works well.
Final highlights in pale sand.

I was thinking about which yellow! I even do not think about the sand or tan color range!
Thanks for your help, i will try shades of those colors.

Depends on the shade of blond. I have used everything from various sand or tan paints suitably lightened, to a mixture of Tamiya gold and white. I don't think I have ever used an actual yellow.

Hello all.
I'm new in figure painting and i would like to know how to paint blond hair on 1:35 scale resin figure.
I plan to paint a soviet GRU officier of the Evolution Miniature brand.
I already have some Vallejo acrylics model color but no yellow color.
What the type of yellow do you use?
Thanks for your help and advise.
