One thing I was never clear on: would, if Bilbo/Frodo was holding a walking stick while wearing the ring, would the walking stick also be invisible? If he was touching another person, would that person also be invisible? Apparently any clothing worn was also invisible, unlike "The Invisible Man".

Overall beautiful work Biggles. Excellent detailing on the shirt and vest.

I suppose my next project is to scratch a Hobbit house for him.

In truth, it's not 100% original sculpt (but many sculptors use commercial heads and hands, anyway). The basis of my figure is a youth from Master Box's Eastern European civilians set. Those figures are 1/35. I transplanted the larger bare feet from his bigger brother, and the hand with pipe from the old seated man. The head is one from Master Box's 1/35 Pin-Up Girls set. I wanted a youthful, yet adult-sized head on a small body. The body and clothing are built up, as are the new arms, and curly hair, with Tamiya epoxy putty. Even though all the components are 1/35, the figure's height corresponds to 70mm, or 1/24 scale figures. The figure is just short of 2 inches tall - way too tall for a Hobbit in 1/35 scale.

This is my finished Hobbit from the "Other Genres" forum. I thought it was more appropriate here as it is more than half scratch built:

I suppose my next project is to scratch a Hobbit house for him.
