Given the scale, does one paint the eye and fill the recess with a clear medium, fill then paint or don't fill at all?
Do you know of any examples I could study? Not even sure what a good google search would be.

Thanks for the links. They will come in handy with other figures. Just still not sure how recessed iris should be painted. Maybe the same, I figure there is different method, almost like some makes scale eyes to insert like a taxidermist.

Hmmm...he, or at least the bust, looks like a surprised pig!

Archer decals have eyeball decals. If you find them too flat dimensionally, then put a tiny drop of clear epoxy glue on the eye. The glue will set up as a slight convex and look quite realistic. Practise first to find the right size of drop to use. Apply with a toothpick.
