I used to have a bunch of the Minifigs. They looked just like the drawings in the Monster Manual.

Otherworld Miniatures makes minis now that are based on the 1st AD&D Monster Manual. He even makes the idol from the Player's Handbook. They aren't the cheapest figures but they are really nicely done.

I just went and looked at them. Many of them are crazy the same as the original book art. Even that dreadful David Sutherland art. A little biased because I was a fan of 'Wormy'.

I'm painting mine up again in my paint queue and I found this site that shows the old boxes from back in the 70s and 80s. It was a nostalgia trip!

He has a page for each manufacturer, i just picked Ral Partha.

You know that is the site the OP linked to, right?

John, I am doing so, too. Post some of your figures for us to see?

Also, if you know of other sites like DnD Lead, please post them. I just stumbled onto that one; I love finding this information.

Randy,

Wow! I don't remember this from Squadron. I recall they sold fantasy paints fora while - I can't recall if they sold figures - but didn't know they made books like this. Thanks.

You're welcome Fred. I was perusing eBay years back adding books to my Squadron/Signal collection when I saw it. So, I bought it just because I had never seen one before and figured I needed it. It is mostly just a collection of D&D type prints by Don Greer like these two but it is pretty cool.

I had never seen it until I saw it on eBay. Kind of cool so I just had to get it.

Thanks guys,
Randy
