You are making some very fine lemonade out of that lemon of a kit.
Sadly Trumpeter really dropped the ball on the kit. An impressiv deed given the number of complete (and sometimes functioning) BR52 and BR52.80 availabel

Omar,
Your models are turning out beautiful. The track is great. Amazing your simulated leather.
I look forward to your next installment.

Just discovered this forum and this topic. Great build.
When you are ready to assemble the wheels i will suggest a good dryfit to check if all the wheels touch the rails.

Hi Omar.
Excellent progress! The sleepers and the tracks look great. My only suggestion would be to put some more work into the track ballast. It looks to uniform and fake. I think a bit of random colour and a good dose of black panel line wash to give it some depth would really make it pop.
Looking forward to more progress reports.
Cheers, D
Good
I followed the advice, it looks better, the progress:

The leather looks very realistic.
I agree, great finish on the leather tones and sheen level.
This build is coming along beautifully.

What is your technique for the 'leather' vest?

That looks amazing Omar, great detail painting!
Can you let us know how you did the wood effect on the floor, and which paints you are using? The red paint in particular is a very nice colour for the handles, wheels and levers.
Cheers, D
Hi Damian!
The colours, that I used were artistic acrilics, nothing special. I combine to colors, one is territorial beige, and the other is burnt umber, marks Eureka and Palmer.
The gloss red color is tamiya.
Cheers, Omar
