I just found that I had a huge (16oz.) bottle of this in a closet. Can I use it to prime plastic figures? I tested it on a scarp styrene sheet, and seems to work well. It's too thick though... the bottle says not to thin with water only, but use a mix of water and an acrylic matte medium.
Anyone use this stuff?

Gesso as primer?

Personally , I'd shy away from using the stuff as a primer. (and I'm thinking of 120mm figures here). I don't think you'd ever be able to get it thin enough to allow the details to show up. After all, Gesso is used to "prime" bare canvas if I remember right.
