Hi
Way back in October I started a thread about nifty wargame figures.
Well, I finally got my act together, and here's the contact info I have for the Deadlands series of figures. The Shaman figure I have has a copyright date of 1996, so I don't know if this company still exists!

I hope that's of some use. Cool figure, and different!
Now, I also have a question that may sound odd. I'm painting some wargames sized knights and orcs. Any suggestions on orc flesh colors? I figure I can use any color I want, but I didn't know if anyone out there had tips on what works and doesn't work!
Cheers

If I rememeber my Tolkien right... Orcs should be something like dark flesh, perhaps with some darker spots.
If you like computer games, you may be used to seeing them green !

Hmm.. I'd use LotR movies as reference.. that would be greyish flesh, but not homogenous.. some darker spots as Penpen suggests would be good. On the previous wargaming treads were some images of orcs, you could look there too.

Andy,
here is a sugestion. Model Master(Testors) just re-released there Fantasy Line of Acrylic colors. They used to be the Polly Scale line of colors, but are now under the Model Master Acryl line. Lots of iteresting colors in the line you are looking for.

They say a picture speaks louder than a 1000 words, so this may help as a reference for "orc" colors...

Hi guys!
Thanks. I tried one guy in grey flesh. I have a bottle of old Polly-S paint that is 'orc-flesh' color. It's a grey too. The orcs I have don't look like the new uruk-hai (sp?) or anything like that. I figured I'd give them some flesh color variety, with a basic grey/green base.
Has anyone else seen those Deadland figures? I did a google search (I don't know why I didn't do this before!!!
). Go to:http://www.peginc.com/
That's the homepage for Deadlands figures.
And, General, your pic isn't showing up on my 'puter.
Cheers

Ha! Me too. I posted the link, and looked at the site, which advertises the games, but I can't find the figures. There's a couple of links I tried, but none of them led to the figures. I guess it's a gaming site, with access to rules, but there are no figures to be found. Sorry I can't be of more help!!
