Ethnic skintones

Hi friends,
Alexander, I've discovered an old tread, but still very useful and the link is still working.
I've saved the page for my reference.
Anyway, a question: Is it suggested to start with dark primer ?
usually I do apply black primer, but maybe it is not the best in all cases
Cheers
Giovanni

That link no longer works; CMON appears to have reorganized their website. This link: Ethnic Skintones is where I found the article a short while ago.
Thanks for the update

Thanks Al this is an area that I have often steered away from as I had thought it too difficult. The article is really good and will enable me to have a little more confidence in having a try.

Hi Robert,
Yes, that skintone looks about right.... as for the rest of the hairstyle & outfit...
I think his enemies would only die from laughter... :-) Seriously, this "traditional garb" is very untraditional

Great link, Al. Thanks. I'd seen it before but forgot to bookmark it at the time...
I feel I should just add that the African skin tone featured here is a generalization... North African and Cenral folks are darker than Southern Africans... Southern Africans have sort of yellowish-gold undertone to their skin... I'm not sure if that makes sense... It's probably closer to the Carribean/African-American look...

Just sent the link to a friend of mine who had stumbled in trying to get the skin tone. Great site. Thanks for watching out.

I came across this really good website dealing with a variety of Ethnic Skintones over at Planet Figure and thought it would be helpful here as well.
