Hello everybody!
I guess I have to explain my brief absence from this forum, but here is what was ready when I emerged out of my basement the last time... :-)

This is a unit base for my Terminators that somebody perhaps remember.
I hope you like it, any comments, critiques or questions are welcome!

Hello again Andreas:

A brief absense from "A funny thing happened on
the way to the FORUM? Now mate, we can't allow that.
You're one of the regulars and well, that jusssss ain't
allowed, mkay? :-) :-)

You know I'm just pullin' jour laig, here. But from your
pix it looks like you are really having a lot of fun. That
must be some basement down there, Andreas.
Thanks for sharing your latest, I presume since those
are the Warhamma' type of figs that they are 25 or 30
mm?

Hehe...you got me Rick, it will not happen again.

But that´s right, it´s Warhammer stuff, normal skeletons but with addon armourplates carved away from the plastic Imperial Guard Cadians, and of course the new Terminators, actually they are probably nearer 40 than 30 mm. Real monsters compared with normal humans...

Have to show some pictures of my room in the basement some day I think, is a really nice place since my SWMBO cleaned it.

Thanks for looking!

Andreas, you make wonders in this scale... don't think we forgot about that Elf of yours. Fantastic!!

You even made me think of trying some of those Warhammer stuff... I've browsed Forge World website and found some figures I like; can you give me some more URLs where to find more figures simmilar to these?

Mario.

Thanks Mario!
It makes me so happy when people remember what I have done! Have I made you travel into the dar ... ehum light? Intresting, well I have some links you can take a look at:
http://www.rackham-store.com/index_us.htm
http://www.reapermini.com/
And finally of course the giant:
http://games-workshop.com/
Although I think that Forge Worlds figs are about the best in this scale that you can get, so I would recommend these, but be aware that they have very bad fit.
I hope some of these helps you!

Andreas a very awesome piece of work my friend right up there in Golden demon standard my friend
just a suggestion though mybe the dead should be turned 180 degrees as though they were facing these guys or some facing and some on their faces fallen as they were cut down or possible that they were holding the position before the Marines arrived and this is the counter attack- just a few ideas to improve the story of why the elements go together to tell a story

Yes you're right Ian, they don´t really tell a story together with the base for the moment. My intentions were to make it look like they had been there long time, the skeletons, and the terminators had just arrived to the battlezone. It´s boring storywise, but I just wanted to make something cool for the local painting competition Will remember your thoughts next time I do a base though, thanks!

And about Golden Deamon, I don´t have the courage to go there yet, should I really?

andreas with a little more depth in the colours, total quality control over each figure and slight indiviualising and you may get to be short listed (and that is enough in my opinion as to a golden demon, they seem to be perfect conversion with a unique story. ( and extremely clever painting) but hey that is what is the challenge and the bar to reach for and that is half the fun, when you reach it you don't need to compete ( got taught that by Phil) cause then the fun is sharing ideas not winning the single trophy which is often judge for the final three on person judges tastes-( not that I am saying that is bad but when you have 100 pieces to judge it is the one that grab you first then you pick each to pieces until the one withthe least faults wins

Andreas I am honoured that you feel my words can help- I am just an old gamer from way back and love to see others do well
Actually you inspired me to get out my Old and new imperial guard army and try to make then look whole- just need to paint the tanks - yuck I hate tank models- rather paint 100 15mm greeks first

Yalım and Peter, Thanks guys! Yes Sci-Fi really has something more than historical, even though I think I need some variation now.

Ian, Do you have Sqauts?? Please...send me some pictures will you?

130 of the little blighters and I still did not get all the one I wanted - always liked the exoarmur ones on bike and the guild master
even converted a few of the guild brothers to Commisars (just for a laugh)
send some photos later- maybe via e mail
