hi all, heres my latest loco build, its a dapol reboxing of an airfix kit, this will be finished in GWR colours. the kit itself has a few flash and ejector pin issues, but nothing most modellers can't overcome. choo-choo! (we need an emoticon for this!)

its in HO-OO scale,and i'm spending today shaving off those handles so i can replace them with fine plastic rod, and smoothing out the seam lines. as i said before this is a kit that needs a fair amount of preparation, but the end product should definitely be worth it

Ok, the scale (and age/manufacturer) warrents a bit of clean up.
yeah i would think that this kit dates from around the early 60's. my other kit has a date of 1961 stamped on the bottom and would have come from the same original manufacturor on a side note glad you like the triplane! if you click on my ipms-uk button under my avatar, theres a thread containing pics from the start of that build and a better pic of what is being called "penelope pitstops triplane" :-)
