hi all, heres my latest loco build, its a dapol reboxing of an airfix kit, this will be finished in GWR colours. the kit itself has a few flash and ejector pin issues, but nothing most modellers can't overcome.
choo-choo! (we need an emoticon for this!)

The shape and wheels look good.
What scale is it? The handles and stairs look a bit overcast which could be because of a small scale.

Keep us posted on the progress.

By the way - I like the pink tri-plane ni the background

its in HO-OO scale, and i'm spending today shaving off those handles so i can replace them with fine plastic rod, and smoothing out the seam lines. as i said before this is a kit that needs a fair amount of preparation, but the end product should definitely be worth it

Ok, the scale (and age/manufacturer) warrents a bit of clean up.

yeah i would think that this kit dates from around the early 60's. my other kit has a date of 1961 stamped on the bottom and would have come from the same original manufacturor
on a side note glad you like the triplane! if you click on my ipms-uk button under my avatar, theres a thread containing pics from the start of that build and a better pic of what is being called "penelope pitstops triplane" :-)
