Welcome to the world of Ziterdes!

Unlike the models previously reviewed, this set is cast in resin.

These models are made to stand alone or be joined with related models and incorporated into larger scenes.

This model is packaged the Ziterdes way, by wrapping the model is plastic and gluing it to a sturdy card sheet.

The resin features a slight texture of stone, wood, and fabric. Suitable recessed mortar joints, wood grain, and other characteristics are apparent. However, crisp and deep undercuts and borders accentuate grain piles, eggs, breads, and sacks.

I just described some of the detail also mentioned by Ziterdes. The real eye-candy is the amount of baking paraphernalia:
Bags of grains & baking ingredients
    Bowl of eggs
    Candle with holder
    Cook books
    Kneading board/Cutting board
    Order board
    Rolling pin
    Scoop and brush
    Treasure chest (secret recipes?)

Painting and Instructions
No actual instructions are included, other than looking at the painted examples on the company webpage.

The models are pre-primed.

Judge the versatility of this bakery for your desired scale with the photos I staged. You will find 25-28mm fantasy figures, and civilians in 1/48 & 1/35. To me, the gaming scale Hobgoblins look small. How about to you?

For my tastes anything larger than 1/32 or smaller than 1/48 will not look proper.

I think this is a worthwhile addition to my gaming scenes, and even workable for 1/32-1/48 scenes.

Bakery has good detail and is an appetizing addition to my dungeon. Detail includes convincing texture and fine sculpting of the baking supplies and counters.

Modelers of many genre will appreciate this Ziterdes model. I look forward to incorporating it into a larger scene or a vignette. Recommended.

Please remember to mention to Ziterdes, NOCH, and retailers that you saw this product here - on Historicus Forma.

* A peel is a shovel-like tool used by bakers to slide loaves of bread, pizzas, pastries, and other baked goods into and out of an oven. It is usually made of wood, with a flat carrying surface (like a shovel's blade) for holding the baked good and a handle extending from one side of that surface. - Wikipedia
Highs: Versatile; extensive detail with crisp casting with good undercuts. Pre-primed.
Lows: Looks a bit big for 25-28mm.
Verdict: Modelers of many genre will appreciate this model bakery, and should look forward to incorporating it into a larger scene or a vignette.
